The Bodrum Region itself is dotted with villages and picture-perfect bays, ranging from the traditional charm of Gumusluk - a quaint fishing village - to the upbeat and lively Gumbet. Situated at the tip of the Bodrum Peninsula is fast-growing Turgutreis which with its recently completed 5 star marina, and affording spectacular sunset views across the Greek island of Kos. For night owls Bodrum town is the main attraction in the region. The world-famous, open-air Halicarnassus Disco is a must, with its laser shows, light and sound systems and flamboyant clientele.

Summers in Bodrum can reach 30°C and above during the hottest months of July and August, with plenty of sunshine and virtually no rain. There is no humidity, and even in the evening the temperatures only drop to around 20°C.

Summers benefit from the cool and refreshing wind, the Meltemi, which blows from the Aegean from May to October, and reaches its peak during the height of the summer.

The spring is an extremely pleasant time to visit, with temperatures reaching 22°C, with April and May the perfect months for walking and hiking through the green hills and blooming valleys.
